1. A SHIFT
    The staff who operate A Shift are Lieutenant Abell and Sergeant Lewis.
  2. B SHIFT
    The staff who operate B Shift are Lieutenant Lowery and Sergeant Streeval.
  3. C SHIFT
    The staff who operate C Shift are Lieutenant Napper and Sergeant Clark.
  4. D SHIFT
    The staff who operate D Shift are Lieutenant Martell and Sergeant Washburn.

Inside the walls of the Marion County Detention Center there are 4 shifts that keep the jail running. Each shift consists of a Lieutentant, a Sergeant, and 5 full- time deputies. 

Safety and security is the number 1 priority of the Marion County Detention Center. 
  • Each employee in the jail goes through training to learn how to respond appropriatley in any situation that is presented to them.
  • This training consists of 40 hours of classroom pre-service training, 80 hours of on the job training and annually 40 hours of inservice training. As well as, taser, OC spray, Fire-arms and CPR and First Aid certifications.
