Who We Are
The Booking Department is responsivle for inmate admision and processing, orientation, and release.  The Classification Departmetn is responsible for ensureing that each offender is creened for risk and needs for the purpose of determining appropriate housing, supervision requirements and determining needs for immediate medical care or other services.  Our professionally trained staff work diligently to ensure that proper protocols, procedures are followed. As well as striving to ensure the safety and security of the offenders and correctional staff by conducting comprehensive offender assessments.

Cassie Cardenas garduated from Marion County High School in 2012.  She was hired as a security clerk at Marion County Deteniton Center in March 2018. She is currently attending ECTC to earn her degree in Criminal Justice. She also works as a nursing assistant for Sansbury Care Center, she has been a Certified Nursing Assistant for the past 7 years. Cassie has always wanted to work in the field of corrections and feels that she will do a great job in this position. She is the daughter of Frank and Joyce Cardenas of Marion County. 
Will graduated form Marion County High School in 1996 and is curently entolled at Elizabethtown Communtiy College where he is earning his degree in Criminal Justice.  Will is a lifelong resident of Marion County, he is the son of Phyllis Skaggs and the late Eddie Skaggs.  He has five children and is happily married to his wife Chelsea.  Will was hired at MCDC in 2007 and has worked in many areas of the facility.  He is currently teh Transportation Clerk and coordinates all incoming and outgoing inamtes for the multiple programs at MCDC. He is also the disciplinary hearing officer. 
Nikki Roution
Nikki earned her Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from Campbellsville University and is currently attending the University of the Cumberlands to complete her Bachellorette Degree in Crimnal Justice. She has been employed at the Marion County Detention Center for six years. She is married to her best friend Chad, who has been a life long resident of Mairon County.  She has two children and one fur-baby.

Travis Mattingly
Travis graduated from Washington County High School in 2014. He earned his Bachelors Degree in University Studies with a focus in Criminal Justice from the University of Campbellsville in 2017.  Travis is the son of Jerry and Peggy Mattingly of Springfield.  He began his career in corrections in November 2017 and was hired as a full booking deputy in December when he completed his training.

Vickie Brockman
 Vickie has worked at MCDC for almost 10 years. This is her first job in corrections but she's confident when she says that she works for the best Jailer, and the best county jail in the state. She started part time and was quickly offered a full time position as a night shift floor deputy. Then, she was offered a position in booking about 2 years later by the late Captain David Earl Gribbins, which is the area she is currently in.
Her interests are traveling with my husband, Donald of 40 years,her 3 beautiful grandchildren,reading and watching movies.

Julita Hutchins
Julita grew up in the small town of Manton Kentucky, she graduated from St. Catharine College in 1996 with an AAS in Computer Science. She then earned her Bachelor Degreen in Business from the University of Pheonix in 2009.  She joined the Marion County Detention Cetner Booking team in 2017.  She is excited about her career in corrections and looks forward to new opportnities at MCDC.   Julita has three children and nine grandchildren.
